T.O.
Even though he's a problem, don't count Terrell Owens out just yet.
I said last year that T.O. was just another… (read above) and he should go. I seemed to be proven wrong when he came back to play in the Superbowl and I was, at the time, happy to be apparently proven wrong. Philly ultimately lost the game, but it was by no fault of any person on that field - we were outplayed and New England did a good job of exploiting Philly’s many screw-ups. But you watched the game and know that already.

Are We Only Interested In One Sport?
A cosmopolitan sports perspective.
In Spain, there is one king sport. Unlike North America, where you can enjoy good baseball, hockey, basketball, american football, etc, spanish people are in general, completely addicted to soccer. It is so engraved in society that there is seldom any mention of any other sport in the media. But there is one thing that is the same (as far as I know) all around the world, and that is the importance that is given to some unimportant small issues. Today, spanish papers seemed incredibly worried about Ronaldo’s ankle which is sprained for two weeks than a few other people who have won world championships, or are repreenting SPain at the highest level in global sports, and obtaining medals nonetheless. I know this to be true in The US aswell. The New York Times would rather report that Terrell Owens prefers one training field to another than report that a man who had his leg amputated after cancer is triumphant in a paralympic global decathlon. In my opinion not only is this ridiculous, but also the fact that newspapers or newspaper sections call themselves “Sports” which is obviously not the case, as they whould cover a much wider array of news to read about different subjects.

Dumass Stampe Of Approval
In case you missed the most recent "Dumass Stampe Of Approval," here are the runners-up.
Other nominees included Josh Paul of the LA Angels for not completeing the play that cost the Angels the game, ya its his fault I mean common you learned in little league keep playing til you hear the ump give the final out. So yeah if Terrell Owens caught a pass and fell down no he's not down someone has to touch him, so if Brian Urlacher is standing next to him and doesn't do shit and TO runs and scores a touchdown ITS URLACHERS FUCKING FAULT, just like its Paul's fucking fault, stfu Angel fans this is what I'd like to call payback for the Steve Bartman shit we had to endure 3 years ago, and sadly I still want to gouge that fuckers eye's out. I bet I know a certain catcher who won't make the team next year if the Angel's don't beat the white sox. Okok well nominate the umpire Doug Eddings to just to shut you crybaby cali whiners up, yes he was unclear, yes he motioned like he was out BUT HE DIDN'T SAY YOUR OUT, but still your right it was a bogus call. And finally how about Dr. Phil for just being a slapdick.

Dr. Z on T.O.
This is a good article on the mess of Terrell Owens.
Dr. Z, Paul Zimmerman is one of my favorite sports columnists. Occasionally he lapses into shtick, but more often he offers an insider’s perspective on league matters that can’t be beat. In this article he makes some good points about the Terrell Owens contract situation with the Eagles before moving on to more general topics. Here is the first paragraph of that column:

T.O. Stands For "Fucking Idiot"
No one's happy with Terrell Owens.
Last season was certainly a good one for Owens up until his injury. His stats were impressive, and his ability to make tough catches and elude tacklers on his way to the endzone was enough to make you pinch yourself and say, “Are these really my Birds?” The Super Bowl comeback was the stuff of sports lore. It was the kind of story you could see yourself telling your grandkids one day: “Gather round, whippersnappers, and let me tell you about the time Terrell Owens practically won the Super Bowl by himself on one leg.” Its a great story even though they lost.

Sports Ramblings
In the end, Terrell Owens shows up for training camp and immediately sustains a groin injury.
Was watching SportsCenter last night. Noticed something. Kind of expected it. Here it is, one of the biggest days in NHL history. There are more free agents then actual signed players. Unprecedented movement is happening. Yet ESPN only highlighted a couple of signings. On the other side, they spent about 15 minutes covering the Terrell Owens / Brian Westbrook dilemma at the Eagles camp, and the contract extension signed by Shaquille O’Neal with the Miami Heat.

Owens to Raiders?
Is the end of the Terrell Owens story in sight?
I just read that the latest trade rumor involving Terrell Owens has him going to Oakland for Jerry Porter and a first round pick. Ina way this makes sense for the Eagles. Porter is younger, he’s faster, and he doesn’t seem to be a bad citizen. Also Owens is clearly toast in Philly no matter what he does now. Philly’s fans will eat this guy alive if given the opportunity. For the Raiders, this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Owens is popular enough in the area to generate some ticket sales, but is he going to be able to share the ball with Randy Moss?

Terrell Owens Latest Remark
Considering it's the off-season, Terrell Owens has generated lots of publicity.
Now I know there has been a lot of talk about Terrell Owens recent contract dispute with the Eagles. We have heard many opinions on the situation, most of them coming from sports writers across America. I want to know what the fans think. I was reading a recent article on ESPN.com by Sal Paolantonio when I stumbled upon something that angered me quite frankly. Here is the excerpt from the end of his article. Just picture TO, relaxing by a pool, at his mansion saying this.

Character Problem in the NFL?
Is this a stand-off that has a happy ending?
Terrell Owens says: "They believe what they want to believe. In my heart, I know I'm doing the right thing."
Terrell Owens says: "I don't have to play football. I don't have to play for the Eagles. I don't care what my teammates say."

Philadelphia Eagles and Terrell Owens' contract
Leave it to Terrell Owens to create all the NFL news in the off season:
The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting today that Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie has said that Terrell Owens’ contract renegotiation is a “non-issue” and that if Owens wants to win a Superbowl he should return to the team. In addition to Lurie’s comments, Donovan McNabb has recently stated that he expected Terrell Owens to return to the team since Owens has a valid contract and signed the dotted line on it.

When In Philly
I think this one drank the kool-aid.
Philadelphia is not your ordinary sports town. People here bleed green. Eagles flags out number the american flag two to one, every paper has Eagles on the front page, the news begins and ends with Eagles reports, the local paper ran articles before the NFC championship on which bird was more powerful, an Eagle or a Falcon. I have, simply by my proximity to Eagle fans, learned the fight song, I know the starting roster, and many of the back ups. I also own a Terrell Owens jersy (given to me by my mother and father in law). In short, I know more...

It's Just Business
One blogger's opinion on the Terrell Owens negotiations.
If Eagles’ management is smart, they will listen to Terrell and Drew and make this a business decision. The Eagles performed just as well without Terrell as they did with him, so they should invite him to sit out next season if he wants. The Eagles made a good deal when they signed Terrell Owens and they should not let him hold the team hostage for more money. He has done NOTHING to prove that he is worth more money to them than they are planning to pay him. The Eagles would send the right message to their team if they cut Owens or let...

Terrell Owens Tired of Discussing Contract
Just sign on the dotted line!
Terrell Owens finally found a topic he was tired of talking about - his desire for a new contract. Owens released a statement through a public relations firm Friday night saying he was done talking to the media about a possible contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Timeout for More Cash
Terrell Owen looking for a little more pocket change.
Eagles’ receiver Terrell Owens says he wants to re-negotiate his seven-year, $46 million contract. During a charity bowling event in Miami hosted by ESPN’s Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, T.O. met uber-agent Drew Rosenhaus. This meeting led to the firing of Owens’ agent David Joseph. The Super Bowl hero’s deal is structured in high’s and low’s, last year he caught those 14 td’s for less than $800K, but next year he would earn a few times more. Then down again. T.O.’s rationale is that he’s one...
