Microsoft Search Impresses Again
Bronco's fans may want to switch to Microsoft search!
I’m so used to searching for information by searching for web sites that contain the information I’m looking for. Search -> browse the results -> guess at which site might have what I’m looking for -> open the site -> start over if it isn’t there. Quite the time consuming process if you don’t make the right guesses. Today I was wondering what the current stats are for my old home town team, the Denver Broncos. I also wanted to know who they would be playing this weekend and when.

Workout And Bagels
Click through for a story about a coach, a workout and carbohydrates.
This is an allegorical story, Boris & Rex did not do this, but I have always wanted to see a coach actually have the balls to sacrifice part of one workout to make a really strong point to their athletes (especially young athletes) who have horrible recovery habits. Years ago I went to a lecture by the nutritionist of the Denver Broncos, and she described how changing eating lifelong bad eating habits (both timing and content) made a huge difference for many football players who were simply used to hitting McDonalds about an hour and a half after getting off the field. This is why many pro and college teams now feed their athletes on a daily basis, US speedskating does, it lays out a whole spread for the National team. Nutrition is as important as ice time & coaching.

19 = 80
Jerry Rice couldn't snag jersey number 80 in the mile high city:
The first day of June marked a new beginning for one of the oldest faces in the National Football League. Yesterday, the 42 year old Jerry Rice participated in his first practice as a member of the Denver Broncos, and he has a new look that may take football fans more than a little while to get used to. Instead of the #80 jersey that is sure to be hanging in the halls of Canton in the not so distant future, Rice was sporting an unfamiliar #19 jersey. “I thought with Rod Smith’s situation there was no way I was going to come in here and try to take that jersey off his back because I have so much respect for him” Rice said. That statement is at least a sign that his cognitive abilities are still intact. “We talked about it, and, my daughter and I came up 19; it looks pretty good, huh?” Rice continued. Well…

Rice Goes To Broncos
Just like the energizer bunny:
Yes Jerry Rice has signed on with the Denver Broncos after seemingly no other team wanted to help him extend his Hall of Fame career.

NFL Hurts Broncos with 2005 Schedule
I don't think the NFL has feeling that strong against the Broncos. Really.
Read the entire article.The Denver Broncos, the NFL's favorite whipping-boy, have been kicked in the hind quarters by the No Fun League ONCE AGAIN. Here are my complaints, chapter & verse:
Wouldn't it make more sense for Denver to play at home in September and in Florida in December ?? Of course it makes sense, that's why the NFL does the opposite !! The NFL hates the Denver Broncos, always has, always will !!

The Broncos Must Get Offensive
The upcoming NFL draft will show us where the Broncos and other teams think their weaknesses are.
The word around the NFL, and particularly the draft experts, is that the Denver Broncos desperately need help on the defensive side of the ball. Mock drafts abound that have the Broncos selecting defensive tackles or corner backs in the first round. The football world has seen the Broncos get shellacked in the playoffs by the Indianapolis Colts the last two years, and believe those two contests are the tell tale that the Denver defense is in sorry shape. A year ago they may have been right, but not this year.
