It would not bother me so much if it wasn't for the fact that Damon had said just a few months before selling out that he could never sell out to the Yankees and didn't understand players who only ran after the top dollar, poetically ending with "Its just not what I need right now." If he had not said that, then I would forgive him. But because he said that, it just proves that he was a liar and that he'd probably step on his own mother if he'd get a bonus check for it.

As for the dude who thinks anybody would do the same thing if offered more money... No, I would not do the same thing. There is more to life than money. If you are already a richer than rich multi-millionaire, then what's another 4 million dollars when you are getting paid over 25 million anyways?

Dustin Pedroia is a REAL baseball player. He said that agents work for the player, not the other way around, and that career decisions should be about more than just top dollar. If HE ever leaves the Sox, then I will KNOW that he has good reasons for it... not just because he's going wherever the money is.
