Fantasy Football: Time to put some studs out to pasture
Is Priest Holmes really all washed up?
Priest Holmes, once the perennial darling of fantasy football owners may just be done. I know that I have no interest in using my first round pick on him. Holmes is still super-human in terms of field vision, and instinct but I just feel that his age and injuries are finally going to catch up with him this season. Marshall Faulk, for so many years considered the most complete offensive football player in the league has lost his starting position to young rising star Steven Jackson. Faulk’s and Holmes’ decline in fantasy football marks the rise of a new generation of fantasy superstars. For likely the first time in years Faulk will probably not be taken in the first two rounds of most fantasy drafts. Holmes probably will be a top round choice but I would be wary of injury.
